Joseph Domenico is a proud Colorado native, born and raised in Welby, and one of thirteen children of Ray and Agnes Domenico. His strong work ethic and commitment to community were shaped on his family’s farm, established in 1922 by his grandfather. Today, Joseph continues that legacy as part of the third-generation family farming business, now growing crops on certified-organic land

A Life Shaped by Community & Change

Growing up in Adams County, Joseph witnessed firsthand the county’s evolution—from the iconic “giant soup bowl” cooling towers of the Cherokee coal-fired power plant to the modern natural gas facility it is today. He recognizes that Adams County has significant potential for responsible energy development that can strengthen the county’s financial stability and benefit local residents.

Local agriculture and business growth have always intersected here, and Joseph has seen how development opportunities have helped families adapt and thrive. After graduating locally, he spent 28 years working for a major grocery chain and even attended diesel college before ultimately returning to his true roots on the farm.

Joseph has proudly served on the Adams County Fire Rescue Board for more than two decades. His work there has provided hands-on experience with:
